Run the Race with Joy

Have you had your JOY JUICE today?  Run and get yourself a serving now because we have a busy day ahead.

It seems that most days, as soon as we’re awake, we find ourselves in high gear and we run, run, run throughout the day.  Often we run like we’re on a treadmill…running fast, but getting nowhere.  Other days, we triumphantly cross the finish line and feel as though we’ve run successfully.

The author of Hebrews says in the first verse of Chapter 12: “Let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.  Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross…”

The Christian life is much like running a race.  We are to run faithfully and patiently and that, in itself, is a difficult task.  Many times we’re willing to run, but we want to choose the time and the place.  Like the faithful runner who disciplines himself to run regardless of the weather, pain or other hardships, we should strive for consistency in our spiritual race called life.

To be successful, we must keep our eyes focused on Jesus.  We will stumble if we look away from him. If we are running for any other reason other than our love for Jesus, we need to take a break and ask God to help us refocus.  Discover the running partner that will joyfully go before you to prepare the way, run beside you every step of the way and pick you up when you stumble and fall along the way.

Drink your Joy Juice faithfully and run the race with joy!
