Have you
had your JOY JUICE today? It’ll make you
shine with JOY!
Don’t you
love to hear the voices of little children singing? They don’t care if they are on key or even if
the tune is right. And have you noticed
that when they forget the words, so often they can just make up their
own?! :)
This week
I’d like for us to revisit some of the songs that we used to sing as
children. Maybe you’ve taught them to
your children or grandchildren. Let’s
examine the words of some familiar choruses and see if we can squeeze new joy
from the lyrics.
Do you
remember….
“This
little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine.
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine.”
It continues with
verses that say:
·
Hide it under a bushel, NO! I’m gonna let it
shine!
·
Won’t let Satan blow it out! I’m gonna let it shine!
·
Let it shine til Jesus comes, let it shine, let
it shine, let it shine!
It’s a catchy little tune….easy
to remember. But what does it really mean
to let your light shine?
Matthew 5:16 tell us: "Let your light shine before men, that they
may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."
When we put God first in our lives, we will have a joy in
our heart that illuminates our life!
We’ll RADIATE with His love. We’ll be bright ambassadors for Him. Our purpose will be to glorify Him in all
that we do and say! So…let your light shine with JOY.
Invite Jesus into your heart
and let HIS JOYful light shine through you!
