Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Establish the
habit of drinking in God’s love and joy…every day!
Ephesians
3:17-18 says: “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in
love, 8 may have power, together with
all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the
love of Christ….”
What
does it mean to be “rooted and established in love”? Author Susie Larson explains it this way:
“The goal is to walk in, talk in, and live in the reality of God’s love, a love
that grounds us and establishes us regardless of the storms we face.”
I
think that explains it simply but very thoroughly. When the roots of our faith run deep, the
winds can blow, the storms can come, but we will cling to the reality of God’s
love…regardless. Does that mean that we will never feel weak or that we will
always make the right choices? No, but
if we keep clinging to Him and recognize His continued faithfulness, our roots
will grow deeper and we will become more and more established in His love.
Again,
Susie’s words encourage us: “He knows what we need more than we do and will
time out His answers and breakthroughs in a way that strengthens our faith,
sturdies our stance and softens our heart.”
Stand firm in the faith and let your roots reach deep into the endless
reservoir of God’s love and joy.
