Have you had your Joy Juice
today? When you’ve had your serving of
joy, make sure you serve others!
People
who are in the habit of serving others most likely have lots of friends. They “attract” others because of their giving
nature and joyful attitude. Those who
“serve the Lord with gladness” as the scripture in Psalm 100:2 says, truly are
attractive and put a song in the hearts of those around them.
Do you
“serve” others with joy and gladness? Or
are you grumpy and frumpy when it comes to serving? Some people want to BE SERVED but don’t enjoy
reciprocating. Let’s look to Jesus as
our example:
Philippians 2:1-5 Holman Christian Standard Bible
(HCSB)
"If then there is any
encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship with the
Spirit, if any affection and mercy, fulfill my joy by thinking
the same way, having the same love, sharing the same feelings, focusing on one
goal. Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility
consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone
should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of
others. Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus."
The
attitude of Jesus was one of humility, love, unity and service. When we use Jesus as our role model, serving
Him with gladness, we will find ourselves with that “magnetic joy” that
attracts others to Christ. What a great
way to glorify God!
Serve, glorify and share His love & joy.
