A Springtime Song of Joy!

  Have you had your JOY JUICE today?  It’s the perfect match for a beautiful Spring morning!

                Do you love the change of the seasons like I do?  Springtime…especially… is such a time of refreshment and renewal.  The flowers are blooming, the grass turns green.  And oh, the beautiful melodies of the songbirds welcoming the new season fills our hearts with joy!  And what a treat to be  awakened by a choir of feathered friends right outside your bedroom window!   These precious creations know how to praise God regardless of what’s going on in their little world.

                Some days we wake up with a song in our heart!  But there are other days when we find ourselves in a “winter” moment.  Are circumstances burdening you down?  Do you have a heavy heart?  If so, may I remind you that we don’t have to wait until everything is perfect in our lives to praise the Lord?!  We can choose to “practice joy” even when our hearts are breaking. This takes a lot of faith and the determination to find the JOY in all situations.  Only when we have a personal relationship with Christ, and keep our eyes focused on Him.  

                As we celebrate a new Spring, let’s open up the windows of our hearts and let in the fresh cleansing power of the Holy Spirit.  May we allow Him to wash away the dirt and grime that has accumulated in our hearts and give us a fresh start…with Him as The Cleansing Agent. 

             The writer of Psalm 33:3 challenges us:

 ³ Sing to him a new song; and shout for joy.

            Will you join me in a song of joy as we welcome the fresh, cleansing Joy of Jesus into our hearts?!
