Have you had your Joy Juice
today? It’s uncontaminated….squeezed
fresh from the fruit of the Spirit!
Author
Brennan Manning writes: “Uncontaminated trust in the revelation of Jesus
allows us to breathe more freely, to dance more joyfully, and to sing more
gratefully about the gift of salvation.” Isn’t that a beautiful thought? Have
you ever heard that term “uncontaminated trust”? What does that mean?
The
definition of “uncontaminated” is: “not
corrupted; unpolluted; pure.” So “uncontaminated trust” must mean PURE
TRUST, unpolluted by doubts or world views. Our trust is uncontaminated when we
trust God completely, believing that Jesus came that we might have life and
have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)
As Brennan
Manning states, “we can breathe more freely, dance more joyfully and sing more
gratefully” when we realize our salvation is a gift. ARE we doing that?
·
Do we “cast our cares upon the Lord” or do we
try to carry our burdens alone? Heavy burdens can take our breath away!
·
Are will overflowing with His joy… so much that
we feel like dancing? Or are we dragging
our feet under the weight of our problems?
·
Do we carry a praise song in our hearts and
burst into spontaneous worship because of the gratitude we have due to our
salvation in Christ?
Let’s pray for an uncontaminated trust, a
pure love and an unpolluted, effervescent joy as we celebrate our gift of
salvation.
