Have you
had your JOY JUICE today? Even when we
are hurting…we can still find joy in relationship with God.
Many people
think a good God can only allow prosperity and happiness. They think that if God
is a loving God, He will not let bad things happen. Some feel that suffering is
God’s judgment for sin…but this isn’t always true. Suffering is sometimes God’s way to
teach, discipline and refine, but God’s love is everlasting. We don’t have to
do anything to earn it.
When you
feel that you have more trouble than you can possibly face, please be reminded
that you are NEVER alone! It often seems
that life is unfair. But when we trust
that God is going to do what HE knows is best, regardless of what we think is
fair, we can rest in that assurance. It
is far more important to note that God continually demonstrates His love and
care for us than it is to wonder “why” He is allowing certain things to happen. Sometimes we are so focused on our problems,
that we miss the MANY blessings that are ours every day.
Remember
Job in the Old Testament? This man knew
what suffering meant! He lost
EVERTHING….but the scriptures tell us that he fell to the ground in WORSHIP and
said:
“Naked
I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the Lord has taken away; May the name of the LORD be
praised.”
Are we like
Job in that we can give thanks and praise to God in all circumstances?
Drink your JOY JUICE in the
good times and the times of suffering. “May the name of the LORD be praised!”
