biggest fan!

Sorge in his book Secrets of the
Secret Place wrote this: “God is
your greatest fan! As your heavenly Father, He is constantly coaxing you
forward into the heights of spiritual victory.” Do you believe that? Where did the author get
such an idea? It came straight from
Scripture!
Deuteronomy
20:4 says: “For the Lord your God is going with you! He will fight for you against
your enemies, and he will give you victory!” That is a verse that we all need to commit to
memory, hide its truth in our hearts so that we may be able to use it as our
weapon and shield when it seems the world has turned against us. Pure, uncontaminated trust in God helps us to
see that truly God is FOR US. He is our
greatest fan; our protector; our confidant; our advisor & teacher; our
Savior!
We are never immune from life’s problems. Sometimes, it seems as if the difficulties
come in bunches. We feel beat up, torn
down and discouraged. That’s when we need to pull this verse out of our prayer arsenal
and speak its truth as a weapon against our enemy. “For the Lord my God IS going with me! He WILL fight for ME against MY enemies and
He WILL give me victory!”
What joy to know that there is nothing that’s
too big for our God! Let’s thank God for being our greatest fan.
