Have you had your JOY JUICE
today? Drinking it faithfully helps us
to grow as a Christian and become what God intended us to be.
As we begin this New Year, let’s
take a close look…not at others, but at ourselves. What are our plans, our priorities, our
pleasures? We know that God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11 that He has a plan for
us. But do we consult Him about those
plans? Are we prayerful and obedient as
He guides us? It’s wise to plan for the future; but the future starts with
TODAY. We should begin each day with a prayer of praise for the opportunities
He has prepared for us and ask for the wisdom to recognize them as they unfold.
Planning is important as we seek to
be “about God’s business”; but also we must be vigilant in making sure our
priorities are in the right order. GOD should always be at the top of our
list. If anything else takes precedence
over our time with God, then we need to do some adjusting. Even good things can
become a detriment to our relationship with God...if we allow them to interfere
with our personal time with Him.
A special kind of pleasure comes
from making God our top priority and being in the center of His plan; that
leads to inexpressible joy that can only be experienced, not explained!
Never forget the wonderful pleasure of ‘JOY in Jesus’… which comes
from following His plan, as we make Him our top priority.
