Have you had your Joy Juice today? It tastes amazingly good when you are in the
center of God’s will!
Most all of
us recognize the song “Amazing Grace”. It’s sung in churches all over the world, in
a variety of languages. Many people
choose to use it at funerals and solemn occasions. But it shouldn’t be reserved for sad
times! It’s a song of hope and praise.
“Amazing
Grace” was written by the Englishman
John Newton . Once the captain of a slave ship, he converted to Christianity
after an encounter with God during a violent storm at sea. He eventually became
an ordained minister in the Church of England.
The words of this beloved Christian hymn were written by a man who was
changed by grace. Have you experienced God’s amazing grace in your life?
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
'Twas
grace that taught my heart to fear, That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
And grace my fears relieved.
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed.
The last verse says:
When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun.
Oh, what a
glorious time that will be when we joyfully sing God’s praise throughout
eternity!
Never forget the sweet, joyful truth of
God’s amazing grace!
