Plant Your Faith Beside the River of Joy

            Have you had your Joy Juice today?  TRUST that God has a great plan for you and move through each day with confident joy.

            Most of us say we “trust God”…..and we know that we should.  But there are those times when we get ahead of Him or lag behind.  We think we know what’s best for us, so we make decisions based on our past experiences or our smug self-confidence.  Many times, we make a mess of things and can’t understand why God “allowed” that to happen….even though we are suffering the consequences of our own bad choices.

            Jeremiah 17:7-8 reminds us:

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

            Are we planted by the “River of Joy” in the Lord?  If so, then we don’t have to be anxious about anything, for we can trust that our “leaves” of faith will remain green and healthy as we flourish in His love and faithfulness.
