Have you had your Joy Juice today? Drinking in the joy of the Lord prepares our hearts for Thanksgiving!
During this season of the year, it’s especially appropriate to examine our hearts and determine if we truly are as thankful as we should be! Someone recently asked the question: “What if you woke up tomorrow morning with only the things you had thanked God for today?” Now, that got my attention! I admit that I get much too busy at times…and I take for granted many wonderful blessings that are God-given gifts….day after day!
Psalm 31:19 says: “How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.”
Many of us are challenged with busyness; our days are so filled with the urgent necessities and responsibilities and obligations that we glaze right over many of the blessings that are continually ours. As the previous verse terms it: “HOW ABUNDANT ARE THE GOOD THINGS….”
Let’s ask God to help us see our “abundance”. The huge blessings and the tiny ones. Things like:
- Good health
- A bed to sleep in
- People who love us
- Hot water and soap
- More food than we need
- Loyal friends
· And so much more….an ABUNDANCE, for sure!
