Seasons Bring Joy

           Have you had your Joy Juice today?  It’s a welcome treat for the Fall of the year!

            The brisk mornings and cooler nights of autumn are a welcome change from the hot days of summer.  Isn’t that just like our loving God… to “change things up” a bit and give us the variety of the different seasons?   Some people are blessed to have an artist’s palette of colors right out their back door.  The breathtaking view of the leaves have gone from summer green to deep reds, oranges, browns and golds!  Each season is a gift.   

            We all experience personal “seasons” in our lives, as well.  We start out as helpless babies, dependent on others to take care of our needs; then hopefully, we’ll grow into independent adults. Eventually we may mature into wise senior citizens.  Each season of life brings with it a different set of “colors”, but they are all intended to make us into a beautiful masterpiece.  If we will allow Him, God can use us in each season of life.

            Psalm 1:3 says it well: “He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.”  

            Let’s look for the beauty in whatever season of life we’re in; and thank God that we can have joy regardless of the season because of our relationship with Him.
