Have you had your JOY JUICE today? It’s no “ordinary” drink! When God puts His blessing on it, you will be
amazed at the JOY it will bring!
This week we’ve been discussing words that
begin with the letter “O” that describe God.
The word for today is “ORDINARY”!
Hold on! Hear me out!. God is ANYTHING BUT “ordinary”. As a matter of fact, He is “EXTRA-ORDINARY”! My focus today is that throughout the scriptures,
we find example after example of how God takes “ordinary things…including
people” and uses them to accomplish His will.
Let’s look
at just a few of the ordinary things in scripture that
God used:
- In Exodus 4, God used Moses’ ordinary staff to perform miracles before Pharaoh.
- In Joshua 6, He used ordinary trumpets to flatten the walls of Jericho
- In 2 Kings, God healed a man of leprosy by telling him to wash in the ordinary river 7 times.
- And we all remember the story of Jesus feeding the crowd of over 5000 with five ordinary loaves of bread and two ordinary fish.
The lesson here
is that even when we feel “ordinary”, God can use us! Anything and anybody can be used by God if we
are dedicated to Him for His purpose.
JOYfully give yourself totally to Him today and
get ready to see how He can take the very “ordinary” and turn it into an
extraordinary masterpiece which overflows with JOY!
