A "Law of Joy"

           Have you had your Joy Juice today?  I’ve discovered a “law of JOY”: When you pour out the Joy Juice of Jesus onto others, your personal serving of joy multiplies!

            This week we’ve talked about the concept of “laws”.  Laws of our community and country; the laws of God; the choices we have in choosing to pursue our own personal desires or allowing the Holy Spirit to govern our lives. 

            William MacDonald writes about the law of sin and death and the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus.  Listen to his powerful insight (taken from God’s Beautiful Purpose  by Susie Larson):

“It’s like the law of gravity. When you throw a ball into the air, it comes back down because it is heavier than the air it displaces.  A living bird is also heavier than the air it displaces, but when you toss it up in the air, it flies away.  The law of life in the bird overcomes the law of gravity.  So the Holy Spirit supplies the risen life of the Lord Jesus, making the believer free from the law of sin and death.”

            Susie Larson takes this concept a little further when she says: “The life of Christ within us puts us ABOVE our circumstances, above our pasts, even above our low perception of ourselves. Whether if feels true or not, Christ’s sacrifice—His overwhelming victory on the cross—gave us a brand new identity, one that’s renewed day by day.” THAT, my dear friends is why we can be joyful in all things! (1 Thess. 5:16)

           BE JOYFUL by living daily God’s “law of joy”!
