Have you
had your Joy Juice today? Join me as we
look for joy throughout the Christmas story.
We don’t want to miss one single drop of joy that can be squeezed from
the truth of scripture. If we’re
genuinely craving it, we’ll taste joy in a fresh, new way!
"And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn."
The obvious
JOY in these verses is the birth of Jesus! Let’s not miss the magnitude and
importance of this event. By the decree
of Emperor Augustus, Jesus was born in the very town prophesied many years
prior in Micah 5:2….even though Mary and Joseph didn’t live there.
Do you see
the abundant joy in that part of the story?
God is sovereign! He had every detail planned…before the beginning of
time. And He did it because of His love
for you and me! Oh, what a delicious
serving of Christmas joy that should be to each of us!
Drink
in the joy of the season and look for ways to share it with others.
