Frantic or Faithful?

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  To prevent frantic thoughts, drinking in the Joy of the Lord is a great remedy!

If you know me at all or if you’ve listened to Joy Juice even a few times, you could guess that my favorite book of the Bible is Philippians!  Why?  Because it’s the book of JOY! Those four short chapters are filled with truth!

Let’s concentrate today on one verse….Philippians 4:6. We can never read it too often.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

Don’t ever be anxious or frantic in our thinking???? That’s easier said than done, isn’t it?   I guess we often stop reading after the part that says: DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT ANYTHING!  We assume WE have to do that…. in our own strength; but that’s not where Paul ended that thought! The “how” comes in the second part of that verse: BUT IN EVERY SITUATION….BY PRAYER & PETITION---WITH THANKSGIVING---PRESENT YOUR REQUESTS TO GOD!

We don’t have to feel thankful for what’s happening; but we can be thankful that God is with us and He always hears our prayers!

Instead of being “frantic”, may we be FAITHFUL believers who choose to “be anxious for nothing” because we take it all to the Lord in prayer.
