Have you
had your JOY JUICE today? Christmas JOY
is extra special! Let’s not miss any opportunity to drink it in and share it
with others.
The best way we can find the JOY in every
aspect of the Christmas season is to connect our hearts to Christ. By accepting Him as our Lord and Savior, we
open our hearts to Him, to His goodness, to His awesome love for us.
In Jeremiah
33:14 &16 we read this Christmas prophecy which brings much joy:
"Behold, days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill
the good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house
of Judah, in those days and at that time I will cause a righteous branch of
David to spring forth and he shall execute justice and righteousness on the
earth. …
And this king who comes to
establish this glorious kingdom of justice and righteousness, this one will
come as a branch through David's family."
What joy to know beyond a shadow of
a doubt that this prophecy was fulfilled through Jesus! HE is the “branch”
spoken of in this passage: Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.
From the
beginning, God’s plan was to bring Jesus, His Son, to earth in the form of a
human baby. Jesus didn’t come to earth
with the fanfare of a worldly king. But,
instead was born in a stable…the King of Kings! He is the reason we can sing
“JOY to the world, the Lord is come!”
This Christmas let’s focus our thoughts on the love of God and His
joyous plans for us.
