"For God So Loved..." He is Joy!

Have you had your Joy Juice today?  Even though Christmas day has passed, we can continue to bask in the JOY of Jesus!

In most of our homes, the gifts have been unwrapped and the space under the tree is bare.  Some of our homes show signs of much activity and the “busyness” of Christmas….bulging garbage cans from ripped wrapping paper as the gifts were torn into; boxes which are no longer needed.  At my house there are crumbs on the kitchen floor from little ones who enjoyed their Christmas treats… and there are more than a few finger prints and other reminders, here and there.

The cheerful noise has begun to die down and the pace of things is beginning to slow a bit.  But the JOYful truth of why Jesus came to earth never diminishes! The love that we experience because of that baby born over 2000 years ago is truly an inexpressible gift!  What a gift---wrapped in joy and tied with a beautiful ribbon of sacrificial love. Look in John 3:16-17:

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.  For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”

Let’s not ever forget the price that was paid for each of us.  A price paid by Jesus so that eternal life can be freely ours!

May the JOY of Christmas go with us every day of the year!
