Have you had your Joy Juice today? Trust God to show you how!
One of my
favorite classic authors is Oswald Chambers.
His writings are filled with spiritual depth and wisdom. He challenges
us to grow in our walk with God. In his
book, My Utmost for His Highest, he wrote these words: “Look to Jesus and you will find that your will and your conscience are
in agreement with Him every time. What
causes you to say ‘I will not obey’ is something less deep and penetrating than
your will. It is perversity or
stubbornness, and they are never in agreement with God…In someone who has been
born again, the source of the will is Almighty God…for it is God who works in
you both to will and to do His good pleasure.”
He is
referring to the passage in Philippians 2:12-13. We don’t have to earn our salvation through
Christ. But Paul wanted to reassure us of God’s hand on our life and to remind
us to be sensitive to His leading. We have all that we need to determine God’s
will... we have access to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. The more we walk in His
way and hear His voice of direction, the more familiar it will become to us.
Charles
Stanley says that you can “be certain that when your heart is inclined toward
Him, He uses all the resources at His disposal to accomplish what concerns you.”
That, my friend, is WHY we can “be
joyful, always!”
Let’s look to Jesus, love His plan, and leap into the joy in the
Lord!
