Be A Joy-filled Encourager

Have you had your JOY JUICE today?  Let me encourage you to drink it faithfully!

One of the most positive characteristics that a person can possess is the gift of  “encouragement”.  Some people seem to have a natural inclination toward edifying and building others up. Others have developed the skill through the years.  But those who “do it best” are the ones who have the God-given gift of exhortation.

What is “the gift” of exhortation? In the New Testament, encouragement and exhortation are often used to translate the same Greek word.  A person who has the gift of encouragement will most often:
  • Recognize someone’s need and respond to that need in a caring and appropriate manner.
  • They will know what a person needs to hear and they’ll say it in a timely fashion.
  • Their way of providing encouragement is unique and fits their own personality and experience.
  • They’ll have lots of friends, because people love to be around them! After all, EVERYONE  needs encouragement!
Romans 12  tells us about the different gifts given to believers. In this passage, Paul teaches us that if
we have been given the gift of exhortation, then we should encourage others faithfully!  Whether is comes naturally or you truly have to work at, please find someone who needs your encouragement today! When you give encouragement, it will come joyfully bouncing right back to you!

Le me encourage you to drink your Joy Juice faithfully and encourage others along your path today!
