Have you
had your Joy Juice today? It relieves
stress and prepares your heart to be blessed!
You may
have heard the term “too blessed to be stressed”…but is that possible? All of us experience times when we truly are
stressed, overwhelmed and anxious. There are deadlines to meet, schedules and
agendas to follow, work and family responsibilities. All stress is not bad. It can help us to stay on target and be
productive. But when we find ourselves
stressed, worried, & anxious a great deal of the time, then changes need to
be made.
The Bible
says to “be anxious for nothing” but we, as Christians, know that we can’t do
that without God. The best thing we can
do when we begin to feel the stresses creeping in is to stop and pray! Ideally,
we should not even wait ‘til it happens, but start each day praying for God’s
guidance and wisdom in setting our priorities. Some “good” things may not be
God’s best for us.
Let’s
meditate on Proverbs 9:10 and let the words seep into our hearts and souls:
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of
the Holy One is understanding.”
Fear in this
verse means respect, awe, reverence. We must ask ourselves if the stress in our
lives is brought on by not “fearing” the Lord. Do we always choose to follow
His wise ways?
Instead of being stressed, let’s be blessed
in relationship with Christ. Choose the path of joy in the Lord!
