People Need the Lord and His Joy

          Have you had your JOY JUICE today?  Be independent and decide to drink it whether anyone else does or not!!!

                This week we’ve celebrated INDEPENDENCE DAY!  There are many men and women who have given their lives so that we might live in a free country and enjoy our independence.  For each of them, we should be thanking God.  And we should DAILY thank Him for our many blessings.

                Yes, independence is certainly a blessing when it comes to living in a country like the USA!  But let’s not take our personal independence to the extreme.  IF we are trying to make it through this life ALONE, then we’re missing out on a lot of JOY!

We NEED each other!  We need family!  We need friends!  But most of all, we NEED GOD!!!!!!!!!!

                Steve Green sings a beautiful song in which the lyrics tell us just that! The chorus says:

People need the Lord, people need the Lord.

At the end of broken dreams, He's the open door.

People need the Lord, people need the Lord.

When will we realize, people need the Lord?

       Let’s be on the lookout today for those who need that word of encouragement, a helping hand,

or simply a smile.  God can use us to deliver His JOY, if only we will be dependent on Him to show us

His plan!
