Have
you had your JOY JUICE today? When we
feel weak, let’s remember that the joy of the Lord is our ultimate power
source.
In Ephesians 1:18-19 (KJV) Paul prays these
words: “ The eyes of your understanding being
enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the
riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, And what
is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to
the working of his mighty power,”
Who can have that “mighty power”? Those who believe! Paul clearly
states that this exceeding greatness of his power is available to ALL believers.
Priscilla
Shirer uses a great illustration in her book “He Speaks to Me”. “If
your house is in need of a good vacuuming, you must have two things: the power
of a working vacuum cleaner and the energy to physically get up and push it
across the floor. To live a sanctified
life, you must have two things: the power to do what God has called you to do
and the energy to get up and use the power you have.”
What has God called you to
do? Do you feel inadequate, limited, even
powerless to get it done? The wonderful
news is that we don’t have to depend on our strength. If God calls us to a task, He is more than
able to fill us with His “mighty power” to accomplish it. And ….an added bonus is that when we allow
Him to work through us, we’ll be filled with inexpressible JOY!
Let’s
plug into our Power Source and get ready to be filled.
