Have
you had your JOY JUICE today? When we
drink in the joy of the Lord, we find out what genuine joy is all about.
Often people try to find joy and
happiness in the wrong things like material possessions, social status, climbing
the career ladder, making lots of money.
But those are not the things that bring us true joy….there is only ONE
WAY. In John 14:6, Jesus tells us "I am
the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through
me.”
As
the WAY, Jesus is our path to the Father.
As the TRUTH, he is the reality of all God’s promises. As the LIFE, he joins his divine life to
ours, both now and eternally!
At those times when we feel confused
and lost….not knowing which way to turn, we should cling to the truth that
Jesus will not only lead us and show us the way….HE IS THE WAY. But we have to accept Him as our leader and
let Him have control of our life. Our
world offers us all kind substitutes…and they might make us happy for a short
time. But as I have said hundreds of
times before…..happiness is not the same as JOY! Happiness depends on what’s
happening….JOY depends on our relationship with Jesus! There is no substitute; only Jesus can be the way, the
truth and the life.
There is only ONE WAY to have genuine joy….and
that’s to drink the JOY JUICE of JESUS!
