Have you had your JOY JUICE today? It’s spilled all over the pages of God’s
Word.
No matter
where we open our Bibles, it doesn’t take long to find JOY! It may be spelled
out J-O-Y or it may be implied. BUT IT
IS THERE! A few mornings ago, I was reading the 37th chapter of
Psalms. It didn’t take me long to
realize that I could write weeks’ worth of “Joy Juice” devotionals from that
one chapter alone. The first four verses
say:
“Do
not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the
grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away. Trust
in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Delight
yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
The JOY JUICE
in the passage is that we don’t have to fret or worry because of what others
do. We should put our focus on the LORD
and do “good” in His sight. We are to
glorify GOD in all that we do! And when we “delight ourselves in HIM”….then our
hearts will be filled with JOY because he will give us the desires of our
heart. He wants to pour out His favor on us, His children, who love Him and
obey His commandments.
We don’t see the actual word J-O-Y in this
passage, but we certainly do get splashed with JOY JUICE from the truth these
verses hold.
Put
on your JOY glasses as your read The Word and you’ll see the joy of the Lord
spilled all over the pages!
