Have you had your JOY JUICE today? Is your heart full of JOY? I didn’t ask if
was full of “happiness”!
In my
younger years, there was a Godly woman that I considered a mentor. She taught me by word and by example her
formula. for JOY: (J)Jesus first , (O)
Others next, and (Y)Yourself last. Have you noticed that JOY is a common theme
in the teachings of Jesus?
The key to immeasurable joy according to John
17 is living in intimate contact with Christ, the source of all joy. That means pursuing a close relationship with
Him every day, striving to be more like Him.
Chuck Swindoll reminds us that “a Godly person is one who ceases to be
self-centered in order to become God-centered.
Our goal as Christians is to become like Christ.”
Remember Jesus’ words in John 17:13: “I say these things so that they may have the
full measure of my JOY within them.” What this scripture does NOT say
is that we will always be happy. But if
we strive to make Him our number one priority…then we can get ready for a full
measure of His JOY!
Drink your Joy Juice faithfully so that you will
overflow with the joy of Jesus…into the lives of others.
