Pure, Confident Joy

            Have you had your Joy Juice today? God promises to share His joy with all who desire a personal relationship with Him. 

God is faithful! And our faith is a gift; but a gift must be opened to be enjoyed. As we implement our faith, we begin to realize more and more God’s obvious, evidient faithfulness to us. Let’s look at a few of verses in the Bible that talk about that:

• 1 Corinthians 1:9 - “God, who has called you into fellowship with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful.”
• 2 Thessalonians 3:3 - “The Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen and protect you from the evil one.”

·         1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

           Do we truly understand the powerful impact these verses should have on our lives? With absolute confidence, we can know that God will forgive our sins. Without His ability to do so, He would not be God. He is the One True God (John 17:3); gods of no other religion promises this.  Our God has made this promise, and He cannot break His word. That would be contrary to His nature… He cannot lie (Numbers 23:19).

            There is pure, confident joy found in the faithfulness of God. Open your personal gift of faith today!

Trust God Completely and Joyfully

            Have you had your Joy Juice today?   Faithfully soak in the joy of the Lord and you will see His faithfulness personally. 

                It is my hope and prayer that each of us knows the truth that God is faithful and that His Word is true.  I guess it’s harder to remember that when we are going through tough challenges and our heart is aching with grief. But the Scripture express the truth of His faithfulness over and over again.  In an article I recently read, the writer explained: “Hebrews 6:18 says God cannot lie, nor can He break an unconditional promise that He says He will fulfill. Every covenant He made is kept. Every promise has or will come true. Testimony after testimony of God’s faithfulness is certainly found throughout the Bible and is still given in testimonies by people today.”

                The article goes on to tell us that: “Accounts of covenants between God and His people can be found approximately 277 times in the Bible. Deuteronomy 7:9 says ‘Know therefore that the LORD your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.’”

                God doesn’t force us to believe; but He sure does give us countless good reasons to trust in His faithfulness!

               Trust completely and find peace, security and joy in God’s faithful love.

Faithful with His Mercy and Joy

            Have you had your Joy Juice today?  When we faithfully serve others the joy of the Lord, double portions come back to us.

            One of the benefits of growing older is recognizing the faithfulness of God. He repeatedly sends blessings into each of our lives. As we mature spiritually, we realize that we have fewer answers….but, hopefully, more faith in our faithful God. 

·         We may not be able to explain why certain things are happening, but we can trust that his mercies are new every day..and great is His faithfulness!

·         Though there may be more month at the end of our money and we don’t know how we’re going to pay our bills….we can trust in God’s faithful provisions.

·          At times we are heartbroken over the loss of a loved one or a relationship….but GOD REMAINS FAITHFUL! 

            Sheila Walsh beautifully explains the faithfulness of God.  In her words: “I don’t mean that He will wave a magic wand and everything will fall into place; far from it. What it means is that at the darkest times in our lives we will learn to keep turning our faith towards Him for He is faithful. Faithful to be with us, faithful to watch over us, faithful to work in us to make us the men and women we are called to be.” 

Psalm 86:16 says it well: “But you, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness.” 

            Indeed, God is merciful, gracious, loving, faithful and generous with His joy.
