Have you had your Joy Juice today? We’ve all heard that it’s more blessed to
give than receive. So let’s give
generously during this Christmas season.
Especially
during this time of year, we should be sensitive to the opportunities God puts
before us to be a blessing to people along our way. Let’s be intentional about sharing the love
and joy of the Lord with others by encouraging them with our words, our actions
and our gifts.
Speaking of
gifts, here’s a great Christmas gift idea for everyone on your list. It’s
economical; one size fits all….and it works no matter what age or gender,
regardless of interests or talents. Everybody enjoys this gift whether they
admit it or not. It’s the gift of
ENCOURAGEMENT.
Author
Karen Porter says that encouragement is like a chocolate candy kiss. Even though it’s small, it sure yields
wonderful results! And we find ourselves looking forward eagerly to the next
taste! In the same way, a timely word of
encouragement hints at the love of God and leaves us wanting more! 1 Thess.
5:11 tells us to “encourage one another and build each other up.”
Let’s ask
God to make us sensitive to others during this Christmas season. You may never know what a difference this
gift will make in the life of a person who is in of a simple word of
encouragement!
Give the beautifully wrapped gift of encouragement this season,
tied with a glitterly ribbon of joy.
