Have you
had your JOY JUICE today? Share some
with your friends.
Don’t you
love to run into old friends and have fun catching up on what’s been going on
with them? This is such a joy-blessing! To see old friends and find out what God is
doing in their lives brings a smile to my face, joy to my heart and pep to my
step! So often it’s the unexpected meetings that bring a special flavor of joy.
As a retired school teacher, I
receive MUCH delight in seeing my former students! Since I taught Kindergarten and elementary
school for many years, you can imagine how much those “little students” have
grown and changed. But many of them
still remember fun times we shared….and so do I. You see, age doesn’t matter when it comes to
friendship. Senior citizens can love
children and young people…and vice versa.
I think it’s awesome when we choose to have friends of all ages. It kinda balances us out…..Young people
learning from the wisdom of the more mature; and older people being taught new
things by the youth! The bottom line is this….we all matter and we can all can make
a difference.
The
scripture in Psalm 118:24 reminds us…. “This is the day the LORD has made; let us
rejoice and be glad in it.”
Let’s ask
God to give us opportunities today to share His love with friends…old
and new. When we “seize the day” that
the LORD has made for us…..and choose to rejoice and be glad in it….we will
find countless opportunities to make a difference in people’s lives.
Be a friend who shares joy
with all ages!
