Have you had your Joy Juice
today? You might not feel joyful, but
please drink it regardless!
We’ve
talked this week about the fact that JOY doesn’t come naturally! Most of us don’t wake up cheerfully every
morning with a song in our heart….no matter how much we’d like to! We know that none of us are immune from
problems. We need to be on guard and aware that there is an enemy trying to
tempt us and misguide us…and steal our joy. But… our God is stronger than that enemy……and if we are in right
relationship with Jesus, then He will give us His strength to overcome the
temptations and help us to make the right choices.
1 John 4:4 tells us: “Greater
is he that is in me, than he that is in the world.”
It is so
important that we stay “filled up” by studying the Bible and spending time with
God in prayer….yes, even when we don’t FEEL like it! We should focus our thoughts on all that is
good (and of God) so that we can overflow with that peace and JOY that comes
only from a relationship with Him.
Remember:
·
JOY is NOT about a life free of problems. It’s God’s peace and assurance in the midst
of heartache and disappointment.
·
JOY is NOT all laughter and no saddness. It’s God’s arms wrapping around us as He
wipes away our tears.
·
JOY is NOT an endless serving of physical
energy; we all grow weary and tired. JOY
is about resting in the Lord and trusting Him to take care of us.
“Greater is HE….” And He has GREAT JOY that
He desires to share with us all!
