Have you had your JOY JUICE today? Make sure you are sharing some with others…especially those in need!
During the Christmas season…as well as at other times during the year…it’s the natural tendency for people to think about what WE WANT! We talk about making our Christmas wish list and we drop hints about what WE would like to find under the tree on Christmas morning.
This year…..rather than fixating on what WE WANT or what we THINK we NEED, let’s make a conscious effort to take our eyes off of ourselves and, instead, look at others around us. There are many who have all kinds of needs:
- Physical
- Financial
- Emotional
- Spiritual
Ask God to reveal to you someone who needs an extra expression of His love
during this holiday season….and then volunteer to be His “mouthpiece” and the deliverer of true Christmas JOY. Tell them about Jesus! That’s what the shepherds did…remember? In Luke 2, we read that “When they had seen him, they spread the word concerning what had been told them about this child, and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds said to them.”
If we would go about our days with the same exuberance and boldness as the shepherds did, after learning of the birth of Jesus Christ, then we’d find limitless opportunities to share with others. What a joy it would be to witness the “amazement” of others….as the shepherds did!
When people learn of God’s amazing goodness and GRACE, then they will experience His amazing Christmas JOY!
